I am Yu-Chen Wang, currently a fifth-year Ph.D student in the graphics lab at UC Irvine, advised by Prof. Shuang Zhao. Before that, I worked with Prof. Yung-Yu Chuang at National Taiwan University on forward rendering.
My research centers on efficient Monte Carlo rendering on the GPU – both forward and inverse rendering. My goal is to achieve robust and scalable rendering for games, film production and engineering and scientific simulation (e.g. autonomous driving, physically based design).
In my spare time, I love photography, pokemon, Arsenal and Age of Empire. If you are interested in talking with me, please feel free to drop me an email.
✨ I'm currently on the job market for full-time opportunities starting in 2026. Feel free to contact me ^^
